  2. Keep your finger off of the triffer until you are ready to fire.
  3. Keep the gun unloaded until you are ready to fire.

Transporting Guns

Driving:

Be sure to check out local laws of the places you are visiting. In most cases (unless you have a concealed carry permit) you should be sure guns are unloaded and stored seperate from ammunition. You should also never leave your vehicle unlocked with a gun in it. Gun racks look cool, but are not the safest way to transport your guns if you will be leaving the vehicle (out of sight, out of mind).

Flying

You can take your gun with you, but you may only take guns, ammunition, and gun parts in your checked luggage. None of these items are allowed in your carry-on. Read this advice from the Transportation Safety Administration.

Shooting Safely
